Full disclosure: I own Right Line Trading, and we make the AI AutoTrader. Everything below about other products comes from their own websites as of September 29, 2026.

Here is something that surprised me when I started checking: most of the products that rank for “AI trading bot” don’t trade futures at all. Trade Ideas, Tickeron, Composer and Capitalise.ai are stock, ETF, forex or crypto tools. They are fine products, but if you trade NQ or ES they are not options for you. So this list separates the bots that actually place futures trades from the ones that don’t.

The short version: for futures, the real choices in 2026 are ready-made NinjaTrader systems (our AI AutoTrader, QuantVue, NinjaBot AI, TradePilot AI) and, if you can code, QuantConnect. The AI AutoTrader is the only one I found whose “AI” part is a community mechanism: the Best Bot automatically adopts the settings of whichever member strategy is leading a live P&L leaderboard.

What “AI” means on a trading bot, and what to ask

I built automation systems for a long time before I got into trading, and “AI” is the most abused word in this market. When a vendor says AI, ask which of these they mean:

  • Rule-based automation with a marketing label. Most bots. Nothing wrong with it, but it isn’t learning anything.
  • Machine learning that generates trade ideas from historical patterns (Tickeron, Holly). Ask how often the model is retrained and how it did out of sample.
  • Collective optimization: our Community Best Bot doesn’t predict prices. It watches roughly 1,500 member strategies reporting live results and copies the settings of the one that is winning. That is closer to a control system than a crystal ball, and I say so openly.

Whatever the answer, get it in writing, test in simulation and check your prop firm’s automation rules before you run any bot on a funded account.
